Courtney

For the past two and a half years, I have been working as a Linkage to Care Coordinator at the Kansas City CARE Clinic. I link newly diagnosed HIV positive individuals to medical care and other services. You will be ensuring that my clients can continue to receive life-saving services, until a cure can be found.
The Kansas City CARE Clinic is one of four recipients of the funds raised at AIDS Walk KC. Please consider donating to my page. Donations of all sizes are encouraged. I appreciate your assistance! Please see the in+care campagin video to see how your money can help others.

Lindsey

I joined what was then the Kansas City Free Health Clinic in November of 2011, and had heard of but never participated in AIDS Walk before. Luckily, I had the great pleasure of being on the Clinic's team with a group of awesome people - and I had my whole family walk with me (my youngest was three at the time!) and it was a blast! It's a great way to build community and raise awareness - and have fun doing it!

Sarah

1 in 139 women are diagnosed with HIV
1 in 32 women are African American
1 in 106 are Hispanic

In 2010 Native American women had 3 times the infection rate of caucasion women, even though they make up only 4% of the population of women.

Together to get these numbers to zero by working towards a cure and providing excellent medical care....help support this goal by donating to Kansas City AIDS Walk 2013.
